Landlord Legislation

We are members of various Landlord Associations; we work hard to keep up to date with new legislation. As a responsible landlord we comply with all of the following:

Deposits

Use the custodial scheme run by The Deposit Protection Service (www.mydeposits.com). All applicable deposits are submitted as per the rules of the scheme.

HMO Licences

All properties which require a licence application have been submitted to Sheffield City Council.

Gas Safety Certificates

All of our properties have a British Gas safety certificate (CORGI registered), which is tested annually.

Electrical Safety Certificate

All of our properties are tested every 5 years by a competent registered electrician.

Energy Performance Certificates

All of our properties have EPCs, which became a legal requirement on 1 October 2008. These are carried out every 10 years.

For Extra Safety

To make sure you're safe at home, every house has:

• Double-glazing
• Fire alarms, not just smoke alarms
• Burglar alarms

We are also a member of the Sheffield Responsible Landlord Scheme
